Quick update on my goal.
After doing a lot of debating I have decided to move to 6max the goal is the same get to 25nl by end of year I am doing this for 4 reasons.
1. It will force me to open up my game to be profitable
2. It will allow me to play more hands post flop and my post flop game should improve
3. I will get more hands played in less time.
4. I am enjoying 6 max much more then FR.
With that being said I started at 2NL to work on the transition from full ring to 6max. I plan to play a min of 5k hands. At the end if I am winning at 5bb/100 or better I plan to move to 5NL. If I am not winning I plan to play another 5k hands before I move up. Keep in mind I am rolled for 5NL with about 30BI but I want to make sure I am adjusting and playing well before I move back up.
Here are my status so far at 2NL
Hands - 2443
BB/100 - 15.94
VPIP% - 17.5
PRF% - 12.1
3Bet - 3.0
I am hoping to finish up my 5k hands over the weekend and be playing 5NL 6max. Hopefully jumping to 5NL won't be to hard.

10NL and below
About 1000 hands in my attempt at 10nl was promptly done losing 2 buy ins and following my own bankroll guidelines I dropped back down to 5nl. I was trying to play more aggressively at a stake I was unfamiliar topped with a few bad beats brought me back down to earth.
The great thing is I learned a lot at 10nl which I am applying now at 5nl and playing better. I am opening my game up. I am working on opening up from 12/8 to 14/11 so far and I would like to get to about 16/12. I also am working on the following at 5nl 3bet, pfr amounts, squeeze plays, better note taking, better table selecting, and steal plays. It is starting to come together however I still have a lot to learn. My goal is to be back taking a shot at 10nl by end of the month. I think with more volume and better play this is possible.
I am already up 2BI at 5Nl here are my status after 2k hands
Hands 2071
bb/100 4.73
Vpip 16
Pfr 11
3bet 2.3

Taking a stab at 10NL
The last week or so I have been a little off my goal of playing 1 hr a day due to getting ready and going back to school for audio production. However I managed to log some sessions and am currently sitting at about $170.
With that in mind I asked some members over at the 2+2 forums about taking a stab at 10nl since I have 17BI for the level. Here is what I got more less from everyone that replied which is great advise and I feel is dead on
$170 is fine for taking a shot at 10NL - if you lose 5BI, you still have 24BI for 5NL, so your BR would not get destroyed. And 5BI downswings can happen to anyone at anytime. As I've said before, the keys to taking shots are (1) being disciplined about moving down if you hit that downswing; (2) table selecting; and (3) not getting intimidated or otherwise tilting. Remember that you are not playing against the aggregate of all 10NL players, so whether the level on average is tougher than 5NL is not really relevant. Rather, you are going to find some juicy tables where the players make the same mistakes that the bad 5NL players make, so the only difference for those particular tables is the buy-in. Find and exploit the worst of the 10NL crew, build some confidence (and hopefully your BR), and before too long you will be a 10NL reg."
With that being said I took my first stab at 10nl last night here is where I ended up.
So far just like what has been said is true. People are more aggressive at 10nl I am seeing quite a few more 3bets and check raises. Along with that I am seeing cbets that are close to pot size.
With that being said it is a bit of a learning curve which I expected I was down almost $5.00 and was going to call it when I went down half a BI. However I did rebound by adjusting my game being a little more aggressive stealing more and not being as threaten by cbets etc. I still have a lot of work and know this is a SMALL sample but so far so good.
Status
Hands 227
bb/11 11.81
Vpip 14.2
Prf 8.4
3bet 0 ( Yes I know I need to work on this)

Time to restart
A little background about myself I am 25 up to this point in life I have been mainly focused on playing music working etc. Last summer I was laid off from my job and have have always been curious about poker playing for laundry money in college online for fun etc
I started last fall with $50 which I won through bar poker and now have built up to $170 and playing 5nl full ring mainly. I started to get a little more serious at the start of the year. I moved up to 5nl and that is where I currently reside. I have been as low as $120 and as high as $170. As of late I have really adjusted my play really feel I am starting to understand poker at a deeper level. My goal is to be playing 25nl by the end of the year.
I am going to try to update this weekly my goal for right now is 1 hour of poker a day with a min of 6 tables being played. I will include weekly and monthly graphs interesting hands etc. Thus far I have not seen someone stuff like this at these levels and hopefully I can help those of you that are truly grinding at the 2nl and 5nl levels and higher as I progress myself. I will assume you understand basic poker terms and will be talking as such.
My current stats as of this year according to pokertableraiting.com the reason why I am using this is due to loosing part of my data base apparently my computer was hungry..
Hands 21,591
bb/100 1.81
Below is a graph of about half of my hands I have left of my data base. I went on a pretty bad swing and tilted pretty bad. After I took some time off I was determined to be a winning poker player and knew I could play better then this. Since then I made a complete turn around and now consistently grinding out small wins
